PDA Capacity and Specifications
For Meetings
Each SmartBadge
PDA comes with 1 megabit of flash memory. This can be upgraded at
the factory to either 2 megabits or 4 megabits of flash memory. The number of
records you can fit in each PDA is dependent on how the memory is
used.
The size of each field, the number of fields and the number of sort
lists stored all affect memory available. If you use two to three
sort lists and fill each field with standard data, you should expect
to fit the corresponding number of entries in each 1 megabit PDA
(see table below).
To eliminate the guesswork, the software keeps you informed as to
how much memory is being used and how many additional records will
fit in a single PDA. You can alter fields, change sort options,
change the number of fields, etc. allowing you to try many different
variations. Each change is completely at your discretion.
Once your database
is complete you can use the badge template to set-up and print the
numbered badges. The last step is simply loading the PDA's into the
Magazine, inserting the Magazine into the Docking Station which is
connected to your PC, and you’re ready to download your database to
all the PDA's! Simply hand out a PDA to each
attendee as they check in and let the "Intelligent Networking"
begin!
Units can be
special ordered with additional memory to double or quadruple PDA
capacity. Contact your representative for a quote.
